DOF 154.265 State MA Red.  Later, heard patch to Tac 2 2128 TG from this
freq.  Also heard TG 5360,  setting up command post on Emergency Ops.   MA
white is 154.280, MA blue is 154.295, and might look in 168 freqs federal
and state.

practice run, talking to helo.  Also, talking to glider pilots on 144.360
simplex.  N1xuy, etc.

ki4ksy, tim, north volusia.  Heard repeater with solid signal.  ¼ wave
ground plane at 50 feet.

Wx4adx, joe,recheck.  Two weeks ago talked about OCFR.  Last week talked
about  OC MedCom.  Tonight OCSO system.  OCSO has autotrap, sectors 1 to 6,
hazmat, swap, ert, aviation, canine, hostage, jam unit, speed, motors, dive
team, ag unit, mounted patrol.

Sectors are on www.radioreference.com, follow to Florida, then to Orange for
map.  Sector 1 is North.  Primarily ag, but shows increased urbanization. 
Sector 2 is east county.  Has 6 zones.  Property, ag and tactical plus code
enforcement in this sector.  Covers UCF and VCC east.  Sector 3 is West –
Dr. Phillips, Bay Hill.  Rather quiet. Sector 4 South county, SOBT, SR 50 to
county line.  Sector 5 is tourist area, I drive.  TOPS is there.  Sector 6
is newest sector. Reedy Creek plus WD world properties.

Tgs haven't changed much on these sectors. Sector 1 is 2576, Sector 2 is
2768, Sector 3 is 2960, Sector 4 is 3152, Sector 5 and 6 is on 3344 (patched
together).  Admin 1, 3536, all code 3 calls are simulcast on this channel. 
Metro channels which patch OPD and OCSO, in 5 and 6 k talk groups.  Details
16k-17k.

"Go up one" means goto a channel in 17k, e.g. 17648.  Used for talk off the
primary channel.

Autotrap 24624.  One new TG in APCO 25 on 25168 for Drug enforcement.

Kj4hgh, walter, casselberry.  Www.lmars.org has newsletter with picture of
Walter flying and using handheld.

Discussion

Brush fires being fought by Orange County Fire Rescue and DOF, monitored on
154.265,  from 11AM into this afternoon.  Coordination with DOF air unit, on
two fires, one near Bithlo TV tower, one near Christmas.  Some houses
evacuated.  Units heard include two or more woods units, a tanker, rehab,
many others.  This freq is "Mutual Aid Red" from DOF.
